Why do the pots have so much expiration time if they do not have preservatives?

Our products go through a sterilization process; once packaged, they are vacuum sealed and exposed to high temperatures in a chamber to eliminate any type of microorganism from the product and prevent its decomposition. Similar to the process we do at home when preparing preserves. Thus the product can be preserved for much longer.

How long do the pots last once they are open?

We recommend that once the pot is opened it will be consumed in a maximum of 24 hours, as long as you keep it in the fridge. If you want to freeze it you can close it very well and store it until its expiration time in this way, however, the pots containing potato will change in texture once they are thawed, so we recommend avoiding this form of conservation

What products are introduced first?

We recommend an average age of introduction to food according to the rules. However, we understand that every baby is different and every introduction of new foods must be supervised by a professional. We support breastfeeding and we want to be an option for those parents who for some reason should start with foods at an earlier age at 6 months; so our little fruit and vegetable cakes (mixed vegetables and zucchini squash) can be introduced from 4 months.

Likewise, fruit pouches have a recommended age of 4 months; provided that the fruits of their ingredients have been introduced beforehand.

At 6 months it is recommended to introduce the small pots with veal, chicken and turkey. And finally, at 8 months, the little pots with fish and vegetables. Gluten-free porridge from 4 months and porridge with 5 cereals from 6 months.

Finally, our Smilitos can be introduced since the baby has the ability to hold the neck and eat solids; provided that you have previously introduced the corn.

How can I know if the products are in good condition?

To check that the product is in optimal conditions for consumption make sure that our safety button (in the center of the lid) is down, and that when you open the jar is PLOF. Our lid with airtight seal and security button allow to have a product with a guaranteed quality and to check at all times that the vacuum has not been lost.

How old can I give the products to my child?

What does Ecological / Biological / Organic mean?

Why do not the fish pots have the European ecological seal?

European legislation does not allow wild fish to be considered as ecological when they can not control their diet in freedom. It is for this reason, that the little pots that carry wild hake (a fish that is not possible to have for fish farming) can not have this seal.

What is Bisphenol A or BPA? Do Smileat products have BPA?

Bisphenol is a chemical that contains some plastics related to children’s products such as baby bottles, containers, spoons, plates; and it is related to effects on the baby’s cardiovascular and endocrine system.

In Smileat, we bet on containers and caps without Bisphenol A; Although according to the regulations is Spain and many countries its use is allowed, we bet to invest in the health of your baby, as well as with all our ingredients and processes.

None of our containers: pots, lids, sachets, contains Bisphenol A.

For returns if you are hiring as a consumer and user, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without the need for justification. What to do in case of breakage or damage of a product?

In order to manage the incident we need you to send us a photo of the package and the description of the affected products as soon as possible, that way we can manage a solution as soon as possible and we can transmit the incident to our transport provider.

After 5 days of the reception we can not be held responsible for damages in the jars received.

Procedure in case of wrong, defective, broken or damaged product

To make returns or changes you have a period of 5 working days from the receipt of the product to contact us through the email of pedidos@smileatbaby.com telling us what the problem is and attaching photos of the damaged product if necessary.

If the damage is visible, it must be compulsorily in the dealer’s notes when accepting the order or failing to accept it.

Once the photographs and damages have been reviewed, the item will be immediately replaced or the total amount will be refunded, the shipping costs will be fully assumed by us.
